    Brother Wolf #4.
Watercolor and pencil on paper.
Amy Gross might have my all-time artist statment:

“I am interested in the idea of artist as mad scientist. My drawings offer visual hypotheses to the question: what would happen if the DNA sequence of a plant or mushroom were spliced with that of an animal?”

Visit her site to see birds morphed with plants and dogs taking on the mannerisms of humans.  The three wolf-themed paintings I have posted today are from an upcoming show at the Steven Zevitas Gallery in Boston.

Jillian Ross is a drawing/painting student at Ontario College of Art in Toronto.   Her work is a mashup of digital media illustration, photo manipulation and a combination of mixed media elements in drawing and painting.  She receives bonus points for integrating both triangles and wolves into many of her pieces.
